Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Laboratory Patient Service Technician to join our team in Kenora, Ontario. As a Laboratory Patient Service Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and service, and will be responsible for performing phlebotomies, collecting and processing specimens, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomies, collect and process specimens, and maintain accurate records
  • Provide exceptional patient care and service, and respond to patient inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy experience and certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
