Overview

The City of Regina is seeking a Strategic Financial Leader to drive financial sustainability and strategic direction.

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum.

Job Description:

As the Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a dedicated team and oversee three departments with approximately 200 employees.

You will provide strategic leadership for City programs and services and demonstrate robust financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Corporate Financial Services Division, ensuring alignment with the City's mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop sustainable financial plans, secure long-term financing, and manage large-scale capital projects.
  • Lead the Planning, Budgeting & Analysis Project to improve processes and ensure efficiency.
  • Foster productive long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders, including City Council.
  • Facilitate a shift from transactional services to strategic partnerships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Professional Accounting Designation or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of senior-level experience in municipal, provincial, or federal government settings or in major, multi-divisional corporate structures.
  • Expertise in change management, complex problem solving, strategic decision-making, financial management, and business transformation.
