Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Island Health. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in neonatal nursing and education, with a minimum of five years' recent tertiary NICU-related clinical experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational strategies and programs for neonatal nursing staff.
  • Teach and mentor nursing staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in neonatal care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate education into clinical practice.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in neonatal nursing and education.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor certification.
  • Current CPR Basic Rescuer certification.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
