Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a recognized nursing degree and registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. You will also require three to five years of recent related experience, including two years of relevant clinical experience. A valid BC Driver's License is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop educational strategies and programs for nurses and allied professionals in mental health settings.
  • Teach and educate nurses and allied professionals.
  • Apply adult education and learning principles to develop programs and strategies.
  • Function independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong leadership abilities.
  • Communicate effectively through oral and written means.
  • Possess effective interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks.
  • Analyze and make decisions.
  • Utilize computer skills, including software applications, to develop education curriculum.
  • Stay current with mental health clinical and healthcare issues, and their impact on professional education and clinical practice.
  • Operate related equipment.
  • Possess the physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
