Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a recognized nursing degree and registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. Additionally, you should have three to five years of recent related experience, including two years of relevant clinical experience. A valid BC Driver's License is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop educational strategies and programs for nurses and allied professionals in mental health settings.
  • Teach and educate nurses and allied professionals in mental health settings.
  • Apply adult education and learning principles to develop effective educational programs.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong leadership abilities.
  • Communicate effectively through oral and written means.
  • Facilitate effective interpersonal relationships and interactions.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Make analytical and decision-making judgments.
  • Operate related equipment and technology.
  • Perform physical duties of the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A sound understanding of current and future mental health clinical and healthcare issues.
  • Ability to integrate current and future mental health clinical and healthcare issues into educational programs.
