Job Summary

The FSQA/CI Coordinator will ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of VG Meats' FSQA and CI processes. This role involves routine monitoring, data compilation, and implementing corrective actions to maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and track FSQA and CI processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and validate process improvements, including 5S, poka-yoke, and kanbans.
  • Perform Warner-Bratzler shear force testing and image analysis for tenderness testing.
  • Assemble and check slaughter reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Track inventory and maintain FIFO adherence.
  • Deliver and record training sessions, utilizing G Suite for documentation.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to diagnose equipment failures.
  • Respond to customer quality concerns and QA-related emails.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Alignment with VG Meats' values, mission, and organizational strategy.
  • Post-secondary education in Food Science, biological sciences, quality management, food safety, lean principles, or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal food-related legislation.
  • Experience with meat processing and packaging equipment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and documentation skills.
  • Strong G Suite skills, particularly in Sheets and Forms.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
