**Manager, Quality Assurance**
Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) is a Tier 1 Automotive Parts Supplier to Toyota Manufacturing Facilities located in the heart of Norfolk County (Simcoe, ON). We utilize state of the art technology to ensure our automotive parts are assembled with a high degree of quality.
The Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the Quality Department and is a core part of the leadership team that is driven to deliver exceptional products to our customers. The manager has overall responsibility for managing the plant’s quality performance and improvement activities to achieve excellence at the plant level. As an engaging and knowledgeable leader of your team of quality professionals you provide support and commitment to the executive team, management, hourly team members as well as suppliers and customers to foster the right culture to achieve our plant goals.
**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Establish, lead and deliver quality systems for the plant
- Create annual Annual (Hoshin) Targets, activities, and KPI follow up
- Provide technical information/feedback related to product inquiries or complaints
- Ensure all products meet or surpass defined quality standards
- Participate in developing relationships with customers and suppliers to maintain high quality standards and to deliver expectations
- Evaluate/review supplier quality assurance systems
- Review and analyze plant quality KPI’s to influence quality performance and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Implement quality improvement ideas
- Develop/support auditing processes to confirm quality systems
- Participate as lead representative for plant quality in meetings and forums as necessary
- Builds quality talent through coaching, training and ensures the Quality team have the required skills and knowledge to support the site quality program.
- Provide Quality leadership to influence Quality culture through visibility and coaching of cross functional leadership across the business
- Develop creative ways to develop cost reduction activities
- Prepare monthly reports/presentations for internal and external review
**Key skills and Characteristics**:
- Relevant technical skills (i.e., manufacturing, mechanical)
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- TPS knowledge
- Leadership (setting pace, decisiveness, team development, ability to influence, organizational awareness)
- People development (assessment of others, feedback/coaching, delegation, motivating others, performance management, communicating expectations)
- Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, conflict resolution, customer orientation)

- Judgement and thinking (strategic thinking, judgment, and decision making, problem solving, awareness)
- Performance skills (accuracy with detail planning and organizing, efficiency)
**Education/Experience Desired**:
- Minimum 5 years proven management experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
- Previous experience creating and managing a budget
- Ability to read, interpret and analyze quality assurance terminology and regulations
- Advanced technical knowledge in product design functions and manufacturing inspection processes
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
