TTCA has an opening for one Quality Assurance Specialist in our QA Department. This position reports directly to Assistant Manager of Quality. This is an entry level position that requires a hands-on approach that works on the shop floor in addition to an office setting.
**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
- Creation of internal/external quality documents and process standards
- Evaluate/review supplier quality assurance systems and determine countermeasure effectiveness
- Die/jig modification request (D/JMR) investigation, creation, planning, and follow up
- Creation and control of PCR/MRF/ECI process and documents for internal/external process changes
- Supporting our customers for all quality related issues both at TTCA and at customer site(s)
- Creation and presentation of quality reports for our customer(s)
- Investigation of root cause and countermeasure report creation for customers
- Provide training to multiple dept’s on quality related issues
- Auditing of internal/external processes for failure modes and evaluating countermeasures
- QA working group activity creation/implementation and auditing with follow up effectiveness
- Investigating and implementing countermeasures for quality issues with various departments
- Planning and scheduling level up activities within welding/stamping departments as well as our supply chain
- Provide training on various measuring devices and techniques
- Able to work flexible hours as required, including off-site activities at customer and suppliers
**Key skills and Characteristics**:
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Motivation/commitment, adaptability, and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Project planning and scheduling experience
- Understanding of cold/hot stamping and various welding techniques
- Understanding of various measuring devices including polyworks, tensile testing, VHX
- Understanding of GD&T tolerancing and principals
**Education/Experience Desired**:
- Grade 12 (Post-Secondary an asset)
- Stamping or Welding manufacturing experience
- Previous Quality Assurance experience
- Testing for quality related knowledge may be required (measuring techniques, defect detection etc.)
Pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
