We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at enVision Community Living. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their best lives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting independence and autonomy in all aspects of life.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each individual are met.
- Collaborate with the enVision team to provide a comprehensive and inclusive support network.
- Facilitate community connections and social activities, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
- Provide emotional support and advocacy, ensuring the rights and dignity of individuals with intellectual disabilities are respected and protected.
- No experience required, but experience in the Disability Sector is considered an asset.
- Core Competencies: Advocacy, building relationships, championing change and innovation, facilitating growth and development, inclusive leadership, problem solving and decision making, resilience, resource management, strategic thinking, valuing EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion).
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F License and access to vehicle, willingness to transport individuals supported required.
- Clear Adult & Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector.
- Competitive wage scale: $17.50-$20.55 per hour.
- Full-time, permanent employment classification.
- 70 hours bi-weekly, Monday – Friday (08:30am-03:30pm / 09:00am-04:00pm).
