Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team at enVision Community Living. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to live the best life of their choosing. Through a Person-Centered approach and dignity of risk perspective, you will support individuals in identifying and accomplishing their life goals.

- Empower individuals to identify and accomplish their life goals
- Ensure individuals have the tools for success
- Adapt to changing situations and remain calm in stressful situations

Qualifications
- No experience required
- Experience, education, or training in the Disability Sector will be considered an asset
- Core Competencies: Advocacy, building relationships, championing change and innovation, facilitating growth and development, inclusive leadership, problem-solving and decision-making, resilience, resource management, strategic thinking, valuing EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusion)
- Experience working or volunteering in Human Services is an asset
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F License and access to vehicle, willingness to transport person supported required
- Clear Adult & Child Abuse Registry and satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector
Additional Information
Hours of Work: shifts may include days, evening, afternoon, weekend, and overnight. Full-time: 80 hours bi-weekly. Location: 390 Main Street, Steinbach MB. DSP-SIL are expected to transport person supported to Winnipeg and neighboring communities. enVision Community Living values diversity and supports accessibility.
