Job Title: Casual Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Casual Direct Support Professional. As a key member of our care team, you will provide support and care to children and youth with intellectual disabilities in a foster home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Foster Care Facilitator and other team members to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements:
  • Grade XII Diploma (or equivalent) and certification in CPR and Emergency First Aid.
  • Minimum one year experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of current trends and services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
