We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Concrete Forms to join our team at EllisDon Forming Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a noisy, dusty, and outdoor environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and team player
