Job Title: Carpenter - Concrete Forms

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Concrete Forms to join our team at EllisDon Forming Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter - Concrete Forms will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. The successful candidate will also schedule and coordinate work on sites, instruct apprentices, and supervise other workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Supervising other workers
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Work Environment:

The Carpenter - Concrete Forms will work in a noisy, dusty, and outdoors environment. The successful candidate will be required to bend, crouch, kneel, handle heavy loads, and work under tight deadlines.

Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
