We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Workday Expert to join our team at Extendicare, a leading provider of care and services for seniors throughout Canada. As a key member of our HR Employee Service Centre, you will play a crucial role in driving exceptional employee experiences.
About the RoleAs a Senior Workday Expert, you will be responsible for analyzing, configuring, validating, and resolving complex issues related to our Workday HCM platform. You will work closely with our business managers to build your business acumen while continuing to develop your technical skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert on Workday HRIS functional and operations areas (e.g., Payroll, HCM, Absence, etc.)
- Manage assigned JIRA and ServiceNow tickets for complex and non-routine situations, determining the approach, troubleshooting root cause analysis, configuration and/or working with relevant stakeholders to drive to closure
- Prepare and execute test plans, perform system testing for product releases and changes
- Support the development of FAQ's and training materials in our ServiceNow knowledge base, correlating high volume inquiries to specific job aids
- Participate in CAB meetings and receive knowledge transfer for transition to operations (T2O) from HR systems/IT on upcoming changes, taking it back to the HR ESC to upskill
- Remain current on changing business processes and Workday product releases, documenting and training the team on the impacts of changes to existing system configurations
- Identify problem areas and non-value-added activities that need to be changed or eliminated, partnering with key stakeholders to provide innovative solutions
- Assess the impact of potential barriers to implementing the alternative processes
- Provide coaching to junior staff, empowering them through training and guidance to enhance their understanding and utilization of Workday
- Work alongside HR and business stakeholders to identify process requirements and provide effective solutions while delivering top-notch customer service
- Proactively suggest ways to optimize the overall Workday system functionality to streamline frontline operations
- Conduct data analysis on HR data such as compensation, classification, employment, employee relations, and/or benefits data as directed
- Foster collaboration with team members promoting a harmonious team to maintain efficiency and deliver top-tier services
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in Workday and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. If you have a Bachelor's degree or four-year diploma in Commerce, Information Systems Computer Science, or a related field of study, and a minimum of three years' experience with Workday, including hands-on experience troubleshooting, analysis, and configuration, we encourage you to apply.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position, and we offer a hybrid work model with flexibility for in-office work.
