**About Us**

Extendicare, a leading provider of care and services for seniors throughout Canada, is seeking an experienced HR Systems Specialist to join our team. With a network of 123 owned and operated long-term care homes and home health care operations serving over 10,000 patients annually, we are dedicated to delivering quality care and support to those in need.

**Job Summary**

We are offering a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on the implementation and optimization of our Workday HCM platform, ensuring seamless employee experiences and efficient HR processes.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Workday HRIS functional and operations areas, including payroll, HCM, absence, and other related modules.
  • Manage assigned JIRA and ServiceNow tickets for complex and non-routine situations, determining approach, troubleshooting root cause analysis, configuration, and working with stakeholders to drive closure.
  • Prepare and execute test plans, perform system testing for product releases and changes.
  • Support the development of FAQs and training materials in our ServiceNow knowledge base, correlating high-volume inquiries to specific job aids.
  • Remain current on changing business processes and Workday product releases, documenting and training the team on impacts of changes to existing system configurations.
  • Provide coaching to junior staff, empowering them through training and guidance to enhance their understanding and utilization of Workday.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree or four-year diploma in Commerce, Information Systems Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum three years' experience with Workday, including hands-on experience troubleshooting, analysis, and configuration.
  • A background in payroll processing, absence, or talent management.
  • Ability to handle complex business problems within the context of technical solutions.
  • Exceptional time management and project management skills.
  • Ability to simplify documentation and technical information for a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate effectively in multiple media and to all levels of the corporate office and property sites.
