Director of Strategic Development for a Not-for-Profit Organization

Recooty is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Director to lead the establishment and operation of our non-profit organization in Canada.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work closely with our Board of Directors and management team to ensure compliance with the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act and establish strategic direction for the organization. The Director will be responsible for securing public support for legislation dealing with self-employment, making representations to the government, and coordinating services with similar organizations, businesses, and individuals in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the organization's mission and goals.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and community members.
  • Cultivate partnerships with similar organizations, businesses, and individuals to further the organization's mission.
  • Represent the organization at government meetings and other events.

  • Experience in strategic planning, administration, management, and financial management.
  • Passion for promoting equality and making a positive impact in the community.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
