We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Bulk Barn Foods Limited. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of employee pay, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation and company policies
- Monitor and reconcile remittances for WSIB, WCB, CNESST, and other government agencies
- Process manual/off-cycle pays, including terminations, missed hours, ROE's, and vacation pay requests
- Prepare and submit journal entries for payroll-related accounts
- Support Human Resources with data, reports, and analysis as required
- Ensure third-party payments are processed accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Post-secondary education in Payroll and/or related field
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation and active membership with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)
- 8 years' experience conducting full-cycle payroll
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Experience working with Ceridian Dayforce HCM, an asset
