About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at MCN Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of floor coverings in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, marking them accurately for installation
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth installation process
  • Install resilient floor coverings, including hardwood floors, with precision and attention to detail
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to maintain the integrity of our installations
  • Prepare floors for installation, removing existing coverings and contaminants as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in floor covering installation
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and lift heavy materials
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and color recognition skills
  • Strong judgment and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
