About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Leadership Expert to lead our Health Network North East 2 in Saskatchewan. As an Area Division Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration of academic activities, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical standards direction of the Division.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership necessary to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality clinical services consistent with the strategic needs of the area division. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction.
  • Supporting strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans.
  • Liaising with system leaders to achieve our province's health care goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A licensed medical practitioner in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
  • A member of the medical staff of the SHA and hold an academic appointment in the College of Medicine.
  • Experience as a medical leader who has worked in partnership with administrative leaders to develop innovative programs in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership position with progressive advancement.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be considered assets:

  • Canadian Certified Physician Executive Credential.
  • Advanced education in Health Care Administration, Public Administration, and/or Leadership Studies.
  • Participation in the Canadian Medical Association's Physician Leadership Institute.
