We are an undisclosed company seeking a Project Engineer to join our team.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including project planning, execution, communication, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a detailed project plan that includes timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to project team members.
  • Coordinating with various teams, including design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning teams, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Ensuring the project adheres to quality standards and regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting notes, technical specifications, and change orders.
  • Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and problems that arise during the project.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized educational institution.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Project Engineer.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in Canada, directly related to Transmission, Distribution or Substation Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration as an EIT with a provincial regulatory association.
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment prioritizing critical tasks.
  • High attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to travel to project sites.
  • Maintaining a valid class 5 driver's license in good standing.
