**Company Overview**

PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in the engineering and design of overhead & underground transmission/distribution systems, substations, fibre optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

Our expertise allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our Substations team in our Calgary office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including project planning, execution, communication, risk management, budgeting, and scheduling.

The Project Engineer will manage projects from start to finish and ensure timely execution, coordination with various teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Job Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Project Engineer typically include:

  • Developing a detailed project plan that includes timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to project team members.
  • Coordinating with various teams, including design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning teams, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting notes, technical specifications, and change orders.
  • Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and problems that arise during the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized educational institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Engineer.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in Canada, directly related to Transmission, Distribution or Substation Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration as an EIT with a provincial regulatory association.
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
