Job Description

Job Title: Civil Engineer - Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, including design, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead civil engineering projects from conception to completion
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate and supervise a team of engineers and technicians
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project progress and quality
  • Prepare and submit project reports, proposals, and other documentation as required

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in civil engineering, including project management and team leadership
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Scouten Engineering is a dynamic consulting civil and structural engineering firm based in Prince George, British Columbia. We have been successfully meeting the structural and civil engineering consulting needs of our clients since 1995. Our people provide well thought-out solutions to challenging situations. We have worked on a long list of challenging engineering projects including; industrial structures, buildings, reservoirs, resource roads, heavy civil structures, retaining walls, piping systems, water supply, sanitary and storm sewers, roads and yes, even parking lots. Our services include; Cause and Origin assessments, expert testimony, feasibility studies, engineering cost estimates, detailed design drawings and specifications, tender and contract administration, site plans, terrain models, and grading plans.

We know what we are: We're a relatively small firm (of less than 20 employees) committed to the delivery of exceptional engineering services. We don't pretend to be a company of 1000 employees, because we're not. We know who we are: We're a group of like-minded, enthusiastic and extremely well-trained individuals committed to living and working in northern BC. We know where we are: We know our region; Central and Northern BC, Yukon, Northwestern Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
