About the Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Prince George, BC. As a Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from transportation and buildings to industrial and water projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Directly engage with clients and stakeholders to effectively manage project deliverables, emphasizing quality and collaborative teamwork.
  • Design and Construction: Assist in civil engineering tasks on projects of varying complexity and oversee smaller, discipline-specific civil assignments, which may involve supervising the design and construction of projects.
  • Engineering Services: Provide engineering calculations, create engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, compile engineering reports, and submit necessary applications to regulatory bodies.
  • Client Account Management: Support several sectors, including transportation, buildings, industrial, pipelines, and water teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution in Civil Engineering or related field and are a Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, including effective leadership and managing people, as well as the capability to discuss project issues efficiently with clients, stakeholders, and reviewing bodies.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of all stages of civil engineering projects, encompassing both traditional and alternative delivery methods for public and private clients throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Time Management: Outstanding time-management abilities, comprehensive knowledge of task delegation and scheduling, adept budgeting, and effective resource utilization.
