About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Salmex Carpentry Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work long hours
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
