About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Salmex Carpentry Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role will require handling heavy loads, working at heights, and exposure to dusty and noisy conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the carpentry trade.
  • Criminal record check.
