This role is based in Fort Good Hope, NWT or fly-in/fly-out rotation.
About the RoleThe K'asho Got'ine Housing Society (KGHS) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Executive Director.
You will be responsible for leading the organization at the strategic and operational levels, helping create an innovative model focused on solving northern housing challenges.
Currently, the Society is developing and implementing two shelter projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Three to five years of working experience in the Indigenous housing and/or northern social programming field;
- Business Management: Relevant educational background such as business management, administrative planning or a social programming related field preferred;
- Digital Fluency: Strong digital fluency with the ability to operate multiple software programs to achieve objectives;
- Travel Requirements: Valid driver's license (unrestricted) and ability to travel as required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior working experience with Indigenous communities in northern Canada.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A strong passion for Indigenous housing and community development;
- An understanding of the unique challenges faced by Indigenous communities in northern Canada;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team;
- Digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum.
