School Overview

Our institution, Keewaytinook Internet High School (KiHS), offers a unique blended learning experience that combines face-to-face mentoring with online instruction. This innovative approach enables students to stay in their home communities while pursuing their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

With over 20 years of operation and classrooms in 16 First Nations communities, KiHS provides a rich variety of ministry-inspected courses. Our extensive course offerings include over 80 courses for grades 9-12 across all streams.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Serve as the classroom teacher in one of our partner communities.
  • Mentor local students in their online courses across all subject areas.
  • Instruct online courses.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must:

  • Be a member of, or eligible for membership in, the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Be qualified for intermediate and/or senior divisions.
  • Possess diverse technological skills and a general aptitude with educational software.
Salary and Benefits

Compensation includes:

  • A competitive salary ranging from $41,062.32 to $107,466.32, based on education and experience according to the teacher salary grid.
  • A comprehensive benefit package.

Hiring Preference: Preference is given to members of the KO First Nations, followed by Indigenous individuals from outside of the KO First Nations. Qualified applicants from these groups are encouraged to apply.
