Account Executive, Enterprise Sales

About the Role:

The Account Executive, Enterprise Sales, is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for driving client retention and growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. This role requires a consultative approach, working closely with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Develop and execute account plans to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Quota Management: Meet or exceed quota targets of $800,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts.
  • Sales Methodology: Master and consistently execute Gartner's sales methodology to drive sales success.
  • Account Planning and Territory Management: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of client needs, preferences, and pain points to drive sales growth.
  • Forecasting: Maintain accurate forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to drive business growth.
  • Competitive Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to drive sales success.
  • Product and Service Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Gartner's products and services to drive sales growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6-10 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment), with evidence of prior success in Sales.
  • Skills: Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
  • Client Relationships: Proven experience building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process.
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree – desired.
