Medical Director

TEEMA Group is seeking a highly experienced Medical Director to provide medical leadership and direction to our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing medical strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as providing medical oversight and guidance to our clinical teams.

Job Summary
The Medical Director will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the delivery of care and clinical outcomes
- Providing medical guidance and supervision of medical services activities
- Leading the development of medical policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Developing clinical standards and medical practice guidelines and protocols
- Overseeing the Quality Improvement (QI) Plan
- Reviewing quality of care issues and implementing corrective action plans
- Participating in the training and education of the interdisciplinary team
- Coordinating performance appraisals of the Primary Care Physician
- Developing educational programs to enhance provider skills
- Managing communication with the provider network in conjunction with the Contract Manager
- Representing our client to external agencies, professional groups, and regulatory agencies
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- M.D. or D.O. with a current state license
- DEA registration and the ability to obtain and maintain staff privileges at contracted agencies
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice; advanced certification in geriatrics preferred
- Experience in a managed care environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead administrative role
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and state-required liability auto insurance
- Medically cleared for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations
- Pass a comprehensive criminal background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
