**Position Summary**
The Account Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales, is crucial in supporting the company’s growth strategy. This role involves managing both municipal and commercial customers, within their assigned territory. This role is responsible for growth within the categories of Municipal Dust, Municipal Snow & Ice, Commercial Dust, and Commercial Snow & Ice.
**Position Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain close relationships with existing and potential municipal customers, including Road Supervisors, Public Works Directors, and Road Foremen
- Engage regularly with municipal road associations and provincial associations (e.g., AORS and OGRA)
- Manage a list of assigned Commercial Customers
- Prospect for new Commercial customers
- Interact with existing clients (80%) and potential future clients (20%) to understand their needs and explain the benefits of products effectively
- Prepare sales quotes, requests for proposals (RFPs), sales packages, and tender documents, including price calculations, recommendations, and communication strategies
- Manage sales pipeline
- Maintain accurate records related to inventory and account information
- Develop a strong understanding of the unpaved roads dust control market, as well as best practices for building and maintaining unpaved roads
- Schedule drivers and trucks to fulfill customer orders efficiently during the busy dust control season
- Address and resolve customer complaints, implementing process improvements to prevent recurring issues
- Collect competitive data and identify opportunities to increase market share in competitors’ territories
- Communicate externally with clients, suppliers, brokers, and governmental bodies (MTO, MOE, MNR)
- Participate in Trade Shows as required
- Identify growth opportunities and help drive new business initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
**Position Qualifications & Specifications**
- Post-secondary education in business, administration, marketing, or sales is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience
- Valid G driver's license
- Strong willingness to learn with an outgoing personality for active client engagement
**Work Environment and Schedule**
- This is a hybrid role with requirements to work a combination of corporate office/ home office/ on the road
- The role requires travel to meet with clients within assigned geographic territory, ideally residing in Simcoe County, Durham Region and into the Kawarthas.

- Client sites (industrial, residential, municipal, agricultural)
- Work is generally conducted during a standard work week (Monday to Friday), and generally during standard business office hours (40 hours per week), 8:00 am and 5:00 pm daily Some requirements to occasionally work before and after normal business hours/business work week, based on the demands of work and client availability
