Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and directing dialogue with institutional clients across PIMCO's alternatives platform, with a focus on our broader strategy spanning private credit and real estate offerings. You will engage with sophisticated investors across their alternative needs and work in close collaboration with internal teams to drive alternatives sales.

The role requires regular travel and consistent, proactive engagement with current and potential investors across Canada. Your primary objective will be to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Responsibilities
  • Become an expert on PIMCO's alternatives platform, products, and investment strategies.
  • Drive growth of PIMCO's private platform, including asset-based and corporate credit strategies across the Canadian Institutional client base.
  • Effectively source new clients into PIMCO's alternative investment strategies.
  • Partner with business leaders in Canada, and across product and investment teams to develop, execute, and accomplish a strategic business strategy.
  • In partnership with Account Managers and Product Strategists, work with Institutional Investors to assess investment needs and recommend suitable solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in capital raising, investing, advising, or business development focused on private credit and real estate strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of alternative investment strategies, portfolio management, and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of credit capital markets.
  • Awareness of critical issues in the Canadian Alternatives market impacting institutional investors from investment, service, and regulatory perspectives.
  • Established relationships across a broad range of clients in Canada.
  • An appreciation for the institutional sales process and familiarity with the multiple players involved.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, coupled with the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build relationships with both internal and external parties in a professional manner.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure reflects the cost of living in Toronto or Montreal and is based on industry standards for similar roles in Canada.
