Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist to join our PSP's Private Debt & Credit Investment (PDCI) group in Montreal.

About Us:

PSP Investments is one of Canada's largest pension investment managers with CAD$264.9 billion of net assets as of March 31, 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities, developing relationships with clients and stakeholders, and supporting the growth of our private debt and credit investment portfolio.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, outreach, and relationship-building
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including investors, issuers, and other industry partners
  • Support the development of investment strategies and pitches for our private debt and credit investment products
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as origination, underwriting, and portfolio management, to drive business growth and optimize investment outcomes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and strategically
Benefits:

Our competitive compensation package includes an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
