Your Opportunity:
The Regional Community Transition Program at Alberta Health Services provides a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation for clients following surgery, stroke, lengthy hospitalizations, or other physical/medical issues requiring further rehabilitation prior to returning home.
Description:
As a Mental Health Consultant, you will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for providing assessment and treatment recommendations to professional caregivers and family physicians regarding the management and treatment of individuals with complex mental health disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide education and support to professional caregivers and family members
- Consult and liaise with other professionals along a continuum of care to facilitate a coordinated network of mental health services
- Assess and treat individuals with complex mental health disorders
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing, including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working in a fast-paced environment, with a multi-disciplinary team. Connect care training is an asset.
