About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our team at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. as an AI Engineer Intern. The role involves conducting literature reviews on existing Requirements Engineering practices and challenges in AI systems, assisting in identifying gaps in current RE methodologies when applied to AI/ML-based systems, and contributing to developing new models, techniques, or tools for AI-specific requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, and validation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on AI-related Requirements Engineering best practices and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the research team to identify gaps in current AI/ML-based system development methodologies.
  • Develop innovative solutions for AI-specific requirements elicitation, analysis, and validation.
  • Assist in designing and executing experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-related RE practices.
  • Participate in creating publications, reports, and presentations to share research findings.


Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong interest in Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. You should also have basic knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in intelligent systems. Additionally, familiarity with research methodologies and the ability to conduct independent literature reviews are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities, are also required.

What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary of $ CAD 65,000 - CAD 80,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals and contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects.
