Job Title: Hotel Front Desk Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at B.C. LTD.

Job Summary:

The Hotel Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, handling room assignments, and managing front desk operations. This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate complaints and claims in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms efficiently.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out experiences.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including local attractions and amenities.
  • Exchange foreign currency and process guests' departures, calculating charges and receiving payments.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms accurately.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying, will be performed as needed.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff.
  • Assist guests with special needs, providing personalized support and services.
  • Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
