Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at 1622 Canadian Tire Gas Bar. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates and management staff
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance and customer satisfaction
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to team members
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays
    • Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained
    • Manage cash handling and reconcile daily sales
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Inventory and Merchandising
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that the store is stocked with the right products
    • Develop and implement visual merchandising plans to drive sales and improve customer engagement
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze sales reports and other data to inform business decisions
    • Identify trends and opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business or a related field an asset
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of retail management experience required; 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
