About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solid Waste Engineer to join our team at R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited. As a key member of our solid waste management team, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and project management for the planning, design, and monitoring of diverse waste management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client and Business Development: Drive growth through client and business development initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead proposal and project production teams, guiding junior staff and coordinating work with other disciplines as a Project Manager.
  • Communication Expertise: Engage effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders.
  • Operational Training: Provide in-person and virtual presentations to clients and their staff, relevant to their regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Adaptive Responsibilities: Undertake additional duties as required to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Hold an Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering degree.
  • Extensive Experience: Bring your wealth of experience in solid waste engineering consulting or an equivalent field.
  • Professional Membership: Maintain membership, in good standing, with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management Prowess: Showcase the ability to work concurrently on several projects, consistently delivering on-time and on-budget results to clients.
  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrate your success in leading and building high-performing teams.
  • Flexibility: Possess the ability and willingness to travel between Burnside offices and occasionally to remote client sites.
