If so, the Court of King's Bench has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Judicial Assistant.

Job Summary:

The Judicial Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and paralegal support to a minimum of five Justices of the Court of King's Bench. This includes managing calendars and scheduling appointments, documenting and processing budgetary/claim expenses, typing, formatting, editing and proofreading judgments, and researching and preparing correspondence and memoranda of a highly complex and confidential nature.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments for Justices
  • Document and process budgetary/claim expenses
  • Typing, formatting, editing and proofreading judgments
  • Research and prepare correspondence and memoranda of a highly complex and confidential nature
  • Prepare material for court hearings
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Establish and maintain hard-copy and electronic filing systems
  • Handle incoming telephone inquiries and mail
  • Coordinate travel arrangements
  • Coordinate meetings and conferences
  • Schedule judicial assignments
  • Perform backup duties for other Judicial Assistants
Requirements:
  • Two-year diploma in a related field (e.g., Legal Assistant, Legal Administration, and Paralegal)
  • At least one year progressively responsible related experience
