Benefits Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join our team at People Corporation. As a Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for processing employer benefit contributions reports, maintaining enrollment data, and ensuring accuracy in benefit plan entitlements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process employer benefit contributions reports and maintain enrollment data
- Verify accuracy of benefit plan entitlements and identify employer payment irregularities
- Initiate collection efforts and carry out delinquency procedures
- Learn and understand applicable Collective Agreements
- Generate and analyze reports to identify and reconcile company imbalances or irregularities
- Respond to enquiries from Union representatives, companies, and members regarding eligibility, vacation pay, and other issues
- Assist union representatives with company and member reports
- Request and distribute cheques from Accounting Department at month end
- Assist employers to complete documentation and reports for submission to BPA
- Process benefit self-payments from members and review payments for accuracy
- Enter data on remittance reports submitted by companies, when required
- Follow up with members on NSF cheques for self-payments
- Run various monthly queries to assist in monthly reporting
Requirements
- Exposure to office administration and clerical processes, particularly related to data analysis and account reconciliation
- PC proficient with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word skills essential)
- Knowledge of accounting practices a definite asset
- Demonstrated mathematical aptitude
- Minimum secondary school graduate, post-secondary education preferred
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
