Job Summary: As a Senior National Account Strategist at TMP CAD Sales, you will function as the primary liaison between our company and major key distributor partners. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing Key Account Strategies, developing tactics to assist with business growth within targeted market segments, and working closely with other members of the sales and marketing teams to further develop strategies and execute targeted programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full profit and loss responsibility for sales and margin within the targeted Distributors;
  • Management of selling and administrative budget, including travel and promotion;
  • Development of annual business plans for each targeted Key Account, addressing specific growth strategies, significant contract opportunities, pricing, member-specific tactics, business initiatives, and marketing programs designed to provide substantial growth opportunities;
  • Creation of competitive databases to gain understanding of market potential, competitors, sales channels, and sales/pricing strategies to ensure successful growth;
  • Development of comprehensive knowledge of inner dealings of targeted Key Accounts, including contracting policies and practices, serving as an ongoing resource with Terumo as regards Key Account business practices;
  • Handling of Key Account specific customer complaints and customer service needs, liaising with field sales organization as needed to resolve any conflicts regarding sales, deliveries, credit approval, collections, or other issues;
  • Assistance with tracking and monitoring of membership databases to ensure sales are tracked accordingly and all commitments such as administrative fees are paid as required;
  • Development and implementation of sales forecasts and marketing plans as needed, submitting plans, forecasts, and monthly activity reports to Director of Sales for review;
  • Collaboration with contract managers within the Key Accounts to position Terumo as needed and communicate Terumo's strategies and intentions.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: This role requires a high degree of initiative and interpersonal skill, maintaining outstanding professional relationships and long-term agreements with Key Accounts to ensure profitability of the Business Unit and company. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to create, review, and negotiate contracts.

Qualifications/Background Experiences: A Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is required. Minimum of 5 years of medical device sales experience, with some successful sales management experience and/or marketing or national account experience being a plus. Proven track record in regard to contract development and negotiations is essential. Demonstrate expertise in the healthcare terrain and have documented success of positioning solutions that bring value to customers in complex environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other standard business software is required. For Canadian-based associates, bilingualism in English and French is a must.
