Senior Portfolio StrategistAbout the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Strategist to join our Wealth Management team at National Bank Financial. As a Portfolio Manager within the UMA team, you will be responsible for managing client accounts and contributing to the development and improvement of the UMA platform and UMA management mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement portfolio management strategies to optimize client returns
  • Collaborate with investment committee members to make informed investment decisions
  • Analyze market trends and adjust portfolio models as necessary
  • Coach and mentor senior analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Provide exceptional client service and support to resolve issues and concerns
  • Execute and supervise programs for the purchase and sale of securities to align portfolios with investment policies
  • Communicate effectively with advisors on portfolio integration progress and other platform operations
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, and implement solutions to improve efficiency
About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic team of 14 colleagues, reporting to the Head Portfolio Manager at NBF. Our team is recognized for its expertise in portfolio management and commitment to delivering exceptional investment solutions to our clients.

Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in portfolio management and wealth management
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) certifications
  • CFA or CIM designation
  • Excellent knowledge of financial markets and the financial advisory industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with ability to work under pressure and in a team
Compensation and Benefits
