Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at Manitoba Government. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery and implementation of assigned capital projects from inception through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the control, distribution, processing, and maintenance of all contract documents, including plans, tenders, work orders, and change orders.
  • Assist in developing processes and systems to ensure documents are reviewed and processed quickly and meet Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure standards.
  • Provide high-level customer service to different stakeholders and present information effectively.
  • Work independently and under minimal supervision, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Investigate, interpret, analyze, and resolve complex project matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, as well as project management software, including MS Project.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a field related to construction project management, including engineering, architecture, or business administration.
  • Experience in project coordination/management in the construction field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Strong planning, research, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Working Conditions

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to make occasional visits to work sites within the province by ground, waterways, and air, which may require overnight stays.
  • Must possess and maintain a full stage Manitoba class 5 Driver's Licence.
