Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at the Manitoba Government. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery and implementation of assigned capital projects from inception through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the control, distribution, processing, and maintenance of all contract documents, including plans, tenders, work orders, and change orders.
  • Assist in developing processes and systems to ensure documents are reviewed and processed quickly and meet Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure standards.
  • Provide high-level customer service to different stakeholders and present information effectively.
  • Investigate, interpret, analyze, and resolve complex project matters.
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and project management software, including MS Project.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a field related to construction project management, including engineering, architecture, or business administration.
  • Experience in project coordination/management in the construction field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, research, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines.

Working Conditions

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to make occasional visits to work sites within the province by ground, waterways, and air, which may require overnight stays.
  • Must possess and maintain a full stage Manitoba class 5 Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

  • Essential qualifications include post-secondary education and experience in project coordination/management.
  • Desirable qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Office Suite, and experience with project management software.
