Job Summary

MP Food Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's culinary vision.
    • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Plan and prepare menus that are appealing to our customers and meet our company's culinary standards.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and supplies to support menu planning and execution.
    • Work with our purchasing team to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies.
  • Staff Management and Development
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to ensure they are meeting our company's culinary standards.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Inventory Management and Cost Control
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.
    • Monitor and control food costs to ensure we are meeting our company's financial targets.
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and minimize food costs.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and follow our company's health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
    • Report any health and safety incidents to our management team.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a head cook or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to manage inventory and control food costs.
