Job Summary

MNP is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Risk Management Consultant to join our team. As a trusted advisor, you will investigate threats, develop policies, and enhance infrastructure to minimize the impact of security-related events and protect clients' business operations and reputation.

This diverse team of tech-savvy problem solvers enables clients to take a proactive and prepared approach to cyber crime and capitalize on new technologies and innovations. You will deliver industry and technical expertise in information security through client interactions, reports, technical work, and the creation of high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver industry and technical expertise in information security through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and the creation of high-quality deliverables.
  2. Provide client services, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating engagements.
  3. Facilitate collaboration with client engagement teams prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas, materiality, and deadlines.
  4. Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value.
  5. Maintain high-quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness and provide feedback to team members.
  6. Monitor project timelines against targets and adjust where necessary and advise clients of project status.
  7. Network and take a leadership role in the local professional and business community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities.
  8. Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  9. Assist in the development and training of team members towards professional and personal growth.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, security, or a related field.
  2. CISSP, CISM, CISA, and/or other related certifications (or working towards).
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in security.
  4. Minimum 5 years of experience in IT.
  5. Understanding of IT security and governance frameworks (i.e., ISO 27001/2, NIST, CIS 20, COBIT, etc.).
  6. Understanding and experience in delivery of Security services (vulnerability assessments, TRA's, cyber maturity assessments, cloud security, penetration testing, incident response/forensics, PCI).
  7. Understanding of Security and Privacy compliance (i.e., OSFI, Interac, PCI, PIPEDA, etc.).
  8. Experience with architecting, configuration, and delivering technology-based controls.
  9. Experience in business and practice development.
  10. Security Clearance considered an asset.
  11. Some travel required.
