We are seeking an experienced Water System Specialist to join our team in Halifax on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and be skilled in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.

The responsibilities of this role include installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. You will also be responsible for locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors. Additionally, you will need to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess excellent technical skills, including measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes using hand and power tools or machines. You will also need to be proficient in joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for an individual with an apprenticeship program or trade certification, as well as 2-3 years of experience in related roles. You must be reliable, punctual, and skilled in your field, with excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills. You will also need to be flexible and able to work evenings/weekends, as well as have your own vehicle.

This is a competitive opportunity that offers a salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with skills and experience.
