Salary:

$90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Showcase skills and experience as a subject matter expert in engineering designs for roads, drainage, utilities, and related municipal projects.
  • Lead or contribute to conceptual and detailed drawings of diverse municipal infrastructure and demonstrate working knowledge and design experience in areas like municipal roads, underground linear infrastructure, water facilities, sanitary sewers, storm/water drainage systems, grading, and drainage.
  • Prepare design calculations, reports, construction plans, permit documents, quantity calculations, estimates, and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure technical reports are accurate.
  • Manage, coach, motivate, and provide leadership for staff to provide high-quality services and innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Manage or assist in preparing consulting team proposals and winning projects.
  • Champion Parsons' support for new technologies, trends, and advancements in transportation planning to retain technical competency and provide state-of-the-art services and advice to clients.
  • Represent Parsons at professional association events, design standards workshops, and conferences.

Requirements:

  • P.Eng with 6+ years of experience in municipal servicing (water and sanitary) and stormwater.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and writing communication and engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of national, provincial, and municipal processes, policies, guidelines, and standards related to municipal engineering and evolving industry trends.
  • Proficiency using civil/drainage-related design software, including AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation V8i, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA-SWMM, ArcGIS, CivilStorm, and HEC-RAS software.
