About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist II - Environmental to join our Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) team in the Regulatory Compliance Services Department. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary and a chance to work on exciting projects that impact the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical duties related to water, wastewater, and stormwater services.
  • Administer customer education programs to promote compliance with Halifax Water's regulations.
  • Conduct environmental investigations, analysis, and reporting to ensure public safety.

Requirements

  • A technical diploma in engineering sciences or a related field with an emphasis on environmental sciences, underground infrastructure management, and municipal servicing.
  • Five years' experience in municipal/environmental engineering.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation with TechNova or eligible for membership.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The successful incumbent will be required to be appointed as a Special Constable pursuant to the Nova Scotia Police Act.
