With a strong presence in the Canadian market, we are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Business Development to join our team and help drive growth and expansion.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the wholesale distribution channel and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales and marketing strategy to drive growth and expansion in the Canadian market
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hair salon owners and distributors
  • Recruit, train, and manage a small sales team to achieve sales targets
  • Cold call independently owned salons across Canada to introduce them to our brand and products and close sales
  • Create new and/or strengthen existing relationships with brokers, buyers, and distribution partners in Canada
  • Assume full accountability for wholesale forecasting and inventory management
  • Ensure measurement tools, KPIs, and project tracking systems are in place and effectively being used to optimize the business

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of sales and/or business development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in management
  • Experience putting together sales plans and inventory forecasting
  • Experience selling a physical good (vs. service)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both oral and written (A+ spelling & grammar a must), virtual and in-person
  • Detail-obsessed
  • P&L management expertise, including margins, retail math, forecasting, and analysis, to drive financial decision-making
