Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Facilities Operations Director to join our team at Pomeroy Lodging LP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our properties.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, exceeding expectations through proactive problem-solving and quick decision-making.
  • Investigate all maintenance requests promptly, preventing minor issues from escalating into major problems.
  • Develop and implement schedules that meet peak demand periods while maintaining budgeted labor costs, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Execute assigned tasks efficiently, requiring minimal follow-up, and delivering results that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Solicit feedback from direct reports, providing regular coaching, training, and performance evaluations to foster continuous growth and development.
  • Support recruitment efforts by maintaining a positive work environment that attracts and retains high-quality employees.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry principles.
  • Previous certification or hotel maintenance experience is an asset.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently.
  • Leadership experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Working Conditions

This role may require working extended hours, including weekends, to address business demands or meet deadlines. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and multitasking skills. Physical stamina is essential, as you may need to lift up to 75 pounds during periods of independent work.
